The site only holds what you choose to send. The estimate form may give it your name, email address, a contact number, the home's address or town, and your own description of the water, cracks or sump. That information serves two purposes: passing your request to be contacted to one independent contractor, and answering a message you send through the contact form.

Your request goes to a single contractor, never to a list of them. The hosting provider and the service that delivers form submissions handle your details only so that delivery works. Personal information is not sold, rented or traded to anyone. The site may disclose information when a court order, subpoena or other legal duty requires it.

Each form request is kept with the site's hosting provider only so it can go to one contractor; 90 days after it comes in, it is deleted.

Like most websites, this one may log basic technical details, such as your browser type, the pages you open and the link that brought you here, to keep the site running properly. You can switch cookies off in your browser, and every page will still work.

Once your request reaches a contractor, what you tell that business is governed by its own privacy rules, not by this policy. The site is written for adult homeowners, and it does not knowingly gather details from anyone under 13.

You may ask what the site holds about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, through the contact form. If this policy changes, the new version and its date will be posted here. Iowa law governs this policy.
